If your stuck going to a Japanese restaurant with friends why not give Sushi or Sashimi a try

What's the big deal about Sushi

Sushi? Raw fish!!? Some say yum, others say yuck! If your stuck going to a Japanese restaurant with friends why not give Sushi or Sashimi a try? All Sushi is not raw fish, the shrimp for instance is very tasty and in fact cooked. There are also Crab and Avocado/ Cucumber rolls that are excellent.
A Sushi roll consists of rice and fish rolled in seawood. SEAWEED!!? Yes. seaweed, which isn't as stomach churning as it sounds. Sashimi is simply a piece of the fish placed on some rice. It is served with some green Washibi mixture, which is simply a Japanese form of horseradish and some sliced ginger, used to settle the stomach and part of the flavor experience.
I've personally never liked cooked fish, I've always loved clams and shrimp though. It was a few years ago I got bold enough to try raw fish and now, like millions of others can't get enuff. When your feeling bold enough try the Tuna or Salmon Sashimi, they are not fishy flavored and the Tuna actually melts in your mouth!
Raw fish is actually a very healthy food source and once you figure out why everyone loves it you might even want to try your hand at making it home. One tip here, trust your fish market and let them know your planning to eat it raw for your Sashimi. :
